I am a sucker for independent coffee shops, that being said, independent joints often mess up the iced coffee, not understanding how light bodied and citrusy it has to be in order to be refreshing and tea like. Normally I would say Starbucks has the iced coffee market in the bag, though Cafe Angelique on Bleecker Street in the West Village really surprised me. I highly suggest everyone try their iced coffee.
