So I’ve been reading some Coupland books lately (jPod and Generation X), and I must say I really admire the guy. For some reason he is just able to articulate the tone of my inner desires remarkably well for someone so much older.  Generation X takes place in 1991, and I felt like it was meant for 2008.

That being said, whenever I really like an author I’m often driven to write myself. It never lasts, and I have a handful of 30 page beginnings of various stories laying around somewhere. I’ve got stuff in the year 1892, fantasies, horrors, autobiographies, social commentary, humor, but nothing more than 30 pages and completely unfinished. I’m not sure whether this is a good or bad thing.
